INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING
Men’s Program Supervisor
Owen Sound 0.80 FTE – 30 hours per week
Days (will also require some evenings)

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Program design of clinical and educational services delivering Men’s and Women’s PAR Programs, My Dad’s Groups Program and the Male Survivor Program
• Identification of client needs, program issues and service trends with community partners, referring agencies, practitioners and program staff
• Program supervision of clinical functions
• The provision of direct supervision to a team of group leaders including performance management and clinical functions.
• Coaching and mentoring of new staff and provision of clinical and supervisory coverage, as needed
• Deliver staff training
• Intake and screening of potential clients and referrals
• Developing and maintaining community linkages through participation in various local, regional and provincial committees
• Community education and public awareness raising on issues of violence against women, including collaboration on annual events
• Public relations in the community and with schools
• Facilitating effective communication among staff within CMHA Grey Bruce
• Participation in fund raising initiatives specific to the Men’s Program
• Review and provision of statistical and financial information for funders
• Continue existing fundraising efforts and explore new avenues to raise funds for the Men’s Program and new initiatives

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Excellent interpersonal skills with both individuals or groups
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A core feminist and intersectional values base
• Broad-based knowledge of Men’s Program philosophy, legislation, services and current issues
• Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with an ability to analyze and conceptualize at a client, program, agency and systems level
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while in a leadership position
• Comfort in a position of authority and ability to mediate conflict
• Committed to on-going professional development of self and others
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate transfer of learning and skills in coaching and mentoring
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, implement and evaluate special projects within the agency and/or in partnership with the community

QUALIFICATIONS
• A degree in Health/Social Sciences at the Masters level
• Minimum of 5 years experience
• Training and experience in the provision of clinical supervision of staff
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Completion of Suicide Intervention Training (ASIST)
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification
• Valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle
• A satisfactory Criminal Records Check

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HOURS OF WORK
• 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE), Monday through Friday
• Evening hours required for group facilitation
